Company Overview:

As a leading food service distributor, this client is dedicated to providing best-in-class service to their customers while ensuring the safety and well-being of their associates. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Transportation Manager to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring safe, accurate, and timely daily outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers within the organization. The Sr. Manager, Transportation will focus on people, safety, service, and cost through meaningful engagements with Transportation leaders and associates.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve safety by championing a safety-first culture, enforcing compliance with DOT regulations, and leading training and procedures that ensure a secure, compliant transportation environment.
• Develop and oversee the transportation Managers, fostering associate engagement and retention while aligning teams with company values
• Ensure timely and accurate outbound shipments and upheld high-performance standards by driving continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Analyze daily metrics to identify gaps, eliminate waste, and implement strategies that boost safety, efficiency, and overall productivity.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of seven years of experience in transportation/delivery supervision required.
• Previous experience managing leadership
• Strong understanding of DOT, inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Union experience preferred but not required.
