The Goodkind Hospitality is a premier staffing agency specializing in recruitment for the hospitality industry. We are currently helping a vibrant and trendy hotel find a temporary Banquet/Event Operations Manager . The expected pay is $40 per hour, with primary shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, including both morning and late-night hours, which will fluctuate based on event requirements.

✅ Role Summary

The Banquet Services Manager acts as the central coordinator for all aspects of banquet operations, from staffing and scheduling to guest services and revenue reporting. This includes managing cross-departmental collaboration, vendor relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery in line with client expectations and company standards.

🛠 Core Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: Drives team motivation, communication, and personnel decisions including hiring and training.
• Event Execution: Works closely with Sales, Kitchen, A/V, and banquet staff to ensure seamless setup, service, and breakdown.
• Client & Vendor Relations: Builds relationships with group clients and external vendors to enhance service and upsell opportunities.
• Operational Oversight: Manages inventory, cost control, equipment safety, and accurate revenue tracking/reporting.
• Staff Scheduling: Determines and coordinates appropriate staffing levels for events.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Acts as liaison between Finance, IT, Sales, Culinary, and operational staff.

📋 Qualifications

• Education: BS/BA or equivalent experience in F&B management.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years in F&B with at least 3 in banquet or high-volume restaurant management. Fine dining is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of banquet service styles, cost control, inventory systems, food & beverage trends, wine/beverage service, and POS systems.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, mobility for extended periods, manual dexterity, and stress resilience.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, professionalism, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
