SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator in Chicago to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on the Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Microsoft (MS) Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments. Assist in storage and data management, specifically file and folder permissions. Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production. Provide support for Active Directory (AD) accounts and groups, network storage, servers, and Exchange accounts. Primary escalation POC for local servers, storage, network, and telecom outages, projects, and Enterprise Operations issues. Follow documented processes and procedures and monitor ticketing system, district and divisional incidents and requests, and address local Service Delivery requirements. Work closely with other support personnel to provide top-tier support to on-site and remote personnel.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years or more of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

• Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos and LDAP.
• Basic networking experience (TCP/IP, routing, SSH, OpenVPN)
• Must be an independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to travel when necessary
• Experience using ServiceNow, Remedy or a similar ticketing system.
• Experience managing standing up and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments (i.e. VMware or HyperVisor)
• Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory networks and associated services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Distributed File System, etc.)
• Experience working with file and data permissions on network-hosted file shares and storage (i.e. NetApp, New Technology File System (NTFS), etc.)
• Must have basic understanding of Microsoft Exchange mailboxes

Required Certifications:

• Must have a current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (example: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CYSA+, etc.)

Required Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start.
• Must be a current US Citizen.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
