The Berwick Area YMCA s looking for a number of Summer Camp Counselors to join our team! We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of the 2023 Summer Day Camp Season (June-September 2023)
• Provide safe supervision of all Day Campers involved in our programs
• Maintain proper care of all YMCA/Camp property and supplies
• Participate in daily activities with Day Campers, including team sports, swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, team-building and more

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ to apply
• Available June-September for weekly programs as scheduled
• Able to complete all background checks and clearances (FBI, State Police, Child Abuse)
• Able to complete CPR/First Aid and Water Safety Training prior to or upon hire

Hiring Timeline

• February - April: Initial applications accepted and reviewed
• April: First round interviews held at the YMCA
• May: Final selections made; Attend mandatory Camp training
• June-September: Day Camp!
