STATUS: PAID SEASONAL PART-TIME

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:

This Internship position and is expected to assist with sales, coordination, execution, and follow up for various non-sport special events taking place at AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk. These events may include but are not limited to Corporate Events, Birthdays, Fieldtrips, etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assist the Event Sales Manager in lead response and booking process

  • Support the Events Sales Manager and Events Admin with coordination of booked events and any other administrative support requested

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences, and events including meeting room cleanliness, refreshments, and supplies

  • Communicate to various internal departments of event details, adjustments and updates, etc.

  • Maintain and update various informational resources

  • Interacting and assisting guests as needed

  • Stock, maintain, and clean the facility as necessary throughout shifts

  • Assist with events from set up to take down

  • Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management

  • Greet visitors/clients to the office in a positive warm and welcoming professional manner

  • Resolve all guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate Manager

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance necessary

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  • Must have excellent guest service skills

  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills

  • Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow Team Members

  • Must work well with others

  • Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and venue

  • Commitment to the safety and well-being of others

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
