Project Manager - Federal Maintenance Contract

Location : Arlington, VA (On-Site)

Position Type : Full-Time (Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire)

Compensation : $60–$80/hour (Approximately $120,000–$160,000/year)

Job Overview

We are hiring two Project Managers to oversee a federal maintenance contract at the Pentagon, managing mechanical system operations (HVAC, chillers, boilers, air handling units, air compressors). This office-based role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, preparing schedules, and interfacing with federal clients to ensure timely and compliant execution of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, including look-ahead schedules, using Microsoft Excel.
• Coordinate subcontractors and in-house teams to execute pre-planned annual maintenance tasks.
• Present schedules and updates to federal clients (e.g., GSA, DoD) during daily meetings.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, collaborating with a dedicated Quality Compliance Inspector.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities with minimal disruption to Pentagon operations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for federal stakeholders, providing clear and professional communication.
• Maintain detailed documentation and reports in compliance with federal contract standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• DC Class 1 Steam Engineer License.
• Experience : Minimum 10 years in construction, maintenance, or operations of mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, boilers, etc.), across public, private, or commercial sectors.
• Security Clearance : Ability to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and Common Access Card (CAC) for federal facility access (no U.S. citizenship required; green card holders eligible).
• Skills : Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication for client interactions and reporting.
• Availability : Must work 100% on-site at the Pentagon office in Arlington, VA.

Work Schedule

• Hours : Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM.
• Overtime : Rare after-hours or weekend work (approximately 3 times per year, with coordination).

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Rate : $60–$80/hour, based on experience (equivalent to $120,000–$160,000/year for 40 hours/week).
