Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a 6 months Contract position with a client located in Mason, OH

Pay Range: $37/hr - $39/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Description

1. Technical contribution

Prepares mechanical engineering drawings in collaboration with engineering specialists using CAD system. Prepares lay outs integrating several levels for material handling flow. On a lower degree, provides support during site commissioning ensuring equipments distribution and performance. Supports continuous improvement of project process/product/ system design via provision of lessons learned feedback.

2. Planning and control

Delivers in house assignments as per the agreed timeline and set quality standards for 2D/3D CAD work. Follows work plans and cost estimates for work within project budgets, troubleshooting and support activities.

3. Processes and tools

Ensures accurate application and implementation of standard design practices and tools in preparing accurate drawings and 3D modeling. Uses standard processes and procedures to ensure all layout and equipment selection activities comply with projects specifications to satisfy contractual requirements. Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.

4.-Risk and opportunity

Supports in conducting risk and opportunity assessments during site commissioning phase and in handling technical risks by following mitigation guidelines during equipments distribution phases.

5. Customer

Interacts with internal customer on scheduled project reviews as well as with external customers and support them on requests.

6. Industrial Experience

3-5 years of industrial experience.
