About the role The HMI team is looking for a 3D Artist with experience building vehicle models and an interest in building the next generation of vehicle infotainment. At Applied, you will be responsible for helping build models and materials for visualizations that will be deployed on vehicles. This position will join an existing team of talented engineers and technical artists with a diverse set of backgrounds all working together to improve the user experience. At Applied Intuition, you will: Create excellent quality 3D assets and materials Setup lighting environments and work on honing the visuals Own the vehicle asset pipeline from modeling to materials in Unreal Work closely with the technical artists on the team to improve asset pipelines Improve and maintain materials in Unreal Work with designers to iterate on scenes in vehicle to ensure a fluid and beautiful customer experience We're looking for someone who has: 3+ years of experience creating models that were used in shipped products Mastery of at least one 3D DCC tool (e.g. Maya/Blender), ideally multiple Strong background in authoring textures and creating game optimized assets Experience bringing assets into Unreal Strong understanding of lighting and mood A great eye for composition and readability Ability to author materials independently Nice to have: Prior experience in creating in vehicle experiences Expertise in working with and converting CAD data Some blueprint experience Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
